What is "Holistic Marketing?

Holistic marketing: wth is it? (Spoiler alert: no, it's not all-natural, non-GMO marketing. 🌱 Though that could be interesting).

It's essentially the concept of looking at your business as a whole (thus holistic!) including all your marketing efforts, the fiber of your brand, your values, etc when creating and executing your marketing strategy.

Let's take social ads for example.

A lot of times I see business owners thinking adding one platform or new strategy to their marketing efforts will make all the difference. This happens a lot with ads! Business owners sometimes think purely throwing ad dollars at a campaign will transform their sales and dramatically increase revenue ... then are confused when that's not the case.

Holistic marketing would say, "Hey, let's take a second and make sure the rest of your business is set up to support these ads. Let's look at the sales pages the ads are running to and make sure they're converting before we send people to them. Let's check on our email retargeting efforts and see how we can get people into our messaging ecosystem so they're gently moved along our sales process instead of relying on one or two website hits to do the trick and convert them. Let's ensure all our copy reflects the tone, messaging, and personality of our brand so we're connecting with the right people. Then and only then would it make sense to run a full-force ads campaign."

Seems like common sense, right?

Unfortunately this doesn't actually happen in many cases. The result is campaigns, marketing efforts, sales, and success that don't quite reach where you'd like them to be.

Let's change that! I'm a huge believer in the power of social ads ... with the caveat that they have to make sense for the business and be used properly.
